Description
"Pride, greed, lust, anger, envy, and sloth are the seven deadly sins."
In this book, Carles Porta brings together seven true stories where the possible motive for the crime is always one of these human passions. The author, considered "the king of true crime in Spain," applies his famous three R's style: journalistic rigor, respect, and narrative pace.
The seven cases include:
The kidnapping of Melodía Nakachian: A case in the world of the Costa del Sol jet set in the eighties.
The crime at the Esclat supermarket in Mollet del Vallès: The stabbing of a security guard.
The disappearance in Canovelles: The baby of a family that had won the Christmas Lottery jackpot.
The Febamar case in Alcanar: A car dealership where the owners are assaulted and tortured to death.
The Cannibal of Ventas (Madrid): The chronicle of a police intervention that uncovered a sinister tragedy.
The Shaolin monk of Bilbao: A gym turned into a pit of horrors.
The murder of Isidre Matas: A very unlucky man, murdered near Figueres.
